I don’t post “what I eat in a day.” Because I don’t post “what I eat in a day.”

Because a day of eating, without context, is meaningless.

What I eat shifts with training load, recovery demands, stress levels, sleep, hormones and long-term muscle retention.

A snapshot doesn’t show strategy.
It invites comparison.

And comparison rarely supports performance.

In practice, I see under-fuelling far more often than people realise - especially in capable, driven people who are used to pushing through… but under fueling always backfires.

Nutrition isn’t aesthetic.
It’s structural.

It underpins strength.
Cognition.
Hormonal health.
Recovery.
Resilience.

I don’t eat to be smaller.
I eat to be strong.
Clear-headed.
Regulated.
Sustainable.

Optimisation isn’t imitation.

They approach training the same way they approach work.

Driven.
Consistent.
Willing to push through discomfort.

This mindset creates results professionally, but the body operates differently.

Adaptation happens when effort is balanced with recovery.

Without that balance, performance eventually plateaus regardless of motivation.

Sustainable health isn’t about lowering standards.

It’s about aligning training and recovery so ambition remains supportable long term.

Ski trips used to be all go.
Now they’re about balance, perspective and knowing when to restore.
