Happy Mother’s Day 🤍 Raising a child shows y Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Raising a child shows you just how much love sits behind the way you were raised.

Today I’m grateful to be a mum,
and grateful for the woman who taught me how.
The Pilates vs strength training debate can someti The Pilates vs strength training debate can sometimes miss the point.

You don’t have to choose.

Pilates develops control, stability and movement quality.

Strength training builds muscle strength, supports bone density and increases the body’s ability to tolerate load.

They develop different qualities in the body, which is exactly why they work so well together.

If on a personal level you enjoy one more than the other, that’s completely valid. Exercise should be something you enjoy and want to return to.

But it doesn’t mean one outclasses the other.

There’s a reason many top athletes now integrate both strength work and Pilates into their training, often alongside breathwork as well. Each approach develops something different in the body.

Personally, I practise both. I train with traditional strength work in the gym and I practise Pilates regularly because each offers something valuable.

Different tools.
Perfect match.
Happy Friday. This was taken moments before I topp Happy Friday. This was taken moments before I toppled over. Headstands have been in the rotation recently… handstands, not so much. 🙈🤣

And yes to the pro yogis - I know the shoulders and elbows should be more locked out and elevated. Pilates cues are almost the opposite, so switching between the two can feel like a bit of a minefield

I moved countries with two suitcases to pursue a career in the television industry.

I started at the very bottom.
Long hours. Entry-level roles. Learning everything I could.

Over time I worked my way up to a Line Producer role in a fast-paced, high-pressure industry.

At the time it was my whole world. Long days, often 16 hours on set, constantly on call and surrounded by incredibly driven people.

It was an intense environment and, in many ways, still a very male-dominated industry.

But that chapter taught me something important.

High performers rarely lack ambition or discipline.

What they often lack is support for their nervous system.

When you operate in constant intensity, the body eventually asks for something different - recovery, regulation and sustainability.

That realisation is a big reason the work I do now matters so much to me.

Today I work in the wellness space combining Pilates, nervous system regulation and mindset coaching, mainly with high performers.

Helping people restore their energy so their bodies can sustain the pace of the lives they’re leading - without sacrificing their physical health along the way.

Different industry.
Same understanding of the pressure.
